Person of interest in deadly Buda shooting in custody HAYS COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) — A person of interest is in custody in connection to a deadly shooting that happened overnight Wednesday into Thursday morning, according to the Hays County Sheriff's Office. HCSO said one person was pronounced dead after a man was found unconscious with gunshot wounds shortly after midnight Thursday.The incident occurred at a Buda gas station in the 16600 block of Interstate 35, according to HCSO. Hays County detectives identified the suspect vehicle as a dark-colored four-door Chevrolet pickup truck with damage to the front passenger side bumper. The City is holding an Ugliest Lawn Contest from Aug. 18 to Sept. 15. Photos must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Sept. 15. Winners will be contacted by email on or before Sept. 22. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. - The plea hearing for a St. Louis city sheriff's deputy charged with the murder of a suspected carjacker appears to no longer be happening Friday morning as originally scheduled.The hearing for James Buchanan at the St. Louis County Courthouse was scheduled for 9:00 a.m. before Judge Ellen Ribaudo in Division 18. Buchanan is facing charges of second-degree murder and armed criminal action.
